The Professional Certificate in Aerospace Workshop Operations (PCAWO)The Professional Certificate in Aerospace Workshop Operations train participants as inspectors, CRS and ARC signatories of Aerospace Overhaul/Repair workshops. ATTC is a CAAS approved training centre that conducts engineering courses for the aircraft maintenance personnel in accordance with Certificate of Approval Number MOT/002
Who Should AttendPracticing artisans and mechanics, who wish to upgrade to inspectors and certifying signatories for Overhaul/Repair workshops. Participants who have successfully completed the course would have satisfied the knowledge requirement as certifying signatories of SAR145 companies. Successful participants operating within the scope described in Table 1 below, need not take other CAAS examinations to qualify as CRS/ARC signatories. The PCAWO syllabus includes Human Factors in its basic module and participants who passed M1000 do not need further training on Human Factors. (N.B. The credits obtained from this exam are not meant to offset against the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers' basic exam).
Course structureThe course is modular, with a common basic module and six elective specialisation modules as describe below. The duration of the training varies from 54 to 78 training hours. The duration of each module is approximately 15 weeks. The lessons are held two times a week in the evening at ATTC.

Specialisation modules Module 2000 is specialisation module for Airframe (Fixed Wing) Module 2200 is specialisation module for Engine Module 2500 is specialisation module for Airframe (Rotary Wing) Module 3000 is specialisation module for Avionics (General) Module 3200 is specialisation module for Avionics (Instruments) Module 4000 is specialisation module for Avionics (Comm & Nav) Certificate is issued for each successfully completed module
Minimum entry requirements/medium of instructionITE NTC 3 Or GCE N/O Level Persons without the above qualifications may be admitted on a case by case basis. The medium of instruction is English.
Training Hours/Course Fee
Members of SIAE will enjoy 5% discount if payment is made before course commence. A 1% levy will be imposed every month for late payment.
Exam FeesThe first sitting for this program is included in the course fee. For each subsequent attempt, an exam fee of SGD 32.10 is applicable. For each paper, a maximum of 3 attempt is allowed for each participant.
