CAAS Examination Fees: SGD80 (Candidates need to apply to CAAS directly through the CAAS online Examination Registration Site.)

Introduction

The SAR-66 Category B1 Basic Conversion course is designed to provide basic conversion training for SAR-7 categories A & C aircraft maintenance engineers to qualify for the respective SAR-66 category B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in accordance with CAAS Advisory Circular AC 66-3(0) and to apply for removal of the technical limitation(s) from their basic SAR-66 licences.

Course Syllabus

BM03 Electrical Fundamentals – part module comprising of the followings:

  • Magnetism,
  • Inductance / Inductor,
  • DC Motor /  Generator Theory,
  • AC Theory,
  • Resistive, Capacitive and Inductive Circuits,
  • Transformers,
  • Filters,
  • AC Generators,
  • AC Motors

BM04 Electronic Fundamentals

BM05 Digital Techniques / Electronic Instrument Systems

BM07 Maintenance Practices – part module comprising of the followings:

  • Engineering Drawings, Diagrams & Standards,
  • Electrical Cables & Connectors

BM11A Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures & Systems – part module comprising of the followings:

  • Avionic Systems
  • Electrical Power (ATA 24)
  • On Board Maintenance Systems (ATA 45)

DP100 Practical Skills

Student – Lecturer Ratio

Theory:
The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:28 for theory classes.

Learning And Teaching Methods

All classes will be taught by lectures.

Student Assessment

ATTC courses are assessed by written mock test

Admission Requirements

Ability to communicate in spoken and written English is required.

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of courses. Participants will be awarded the ‘Certificate of Attendance’ by Air Transport Training College
